Korea is an East Asian territory that is divided into two separate sovereign states, North Korea and South Korea. It is located on the Korean Peninsula.
Generally, Korea is bordered by :
- Northwest : China
- Northeast : Russia
- East : Japan
- East Sea : Korea Strait and Sea of Japan
- South : East China Sea
Even located in the same place (Korea Peninsula), South Korea and North Korea never life in harmony. They are divided into two sovereign by United Nation in South and Soviet Union in North after the surrender of Japan in 1945. With the politic of the Cold War, these two super power country divided them into South Korea and North Korea. Since then, the war between them started.
In 1950, North Korea strongly supported by Soviet in weapons and tanks invaded South Korea (supported by United State). It had been killed more than one million people. Beside that, this war effectively destroyed most of cities in Korea. By the Armistice Agreement in 1953, this war ended and resulted the Military Demarcation Line.
After 60 years agreement, North Korea threaten to brake it by the new sanction of United Nation. This sanction responded to the North Korea nuclear weapon test.
